At what frequency are my ears tuned?

Does sound root me in the location of my own hearing?

Or somewhere else?

In my mind?

In my childhood home?

On the street?

Or maybe in that collective imaginary place,

filled with everyone’s favorite noise.

“My ear amps whistle as if they’re singing,”

singing the feedback of words and notes,
